Wireless alarm systems for homes and businesses
We install Ajax wireless alarms and connect them to live 24/7 monitoring. Wireless means a clean install, with few holes in your walls. You arm and disarm the system from your phone, a key fob or a keypad.
A typical home system
- HubThe brain of the system. It sends alarms over the internet, and over the cell network on the Cellular Plan. It has a backup battery.
- Door sensorsOn every outside door. They work on windows too.
- Motion sensorsIn the main rooms and halls. Some take photos when they trip.
- Keypad and fobsArm and disarm at the door, or from your key ring.
- SirenLoud enough to tell an intruder that the system knows they are there.
- Smoke, heat and CODetectors on the same system, monitored 24/7.
We design each system for your property at the free site visit.

Why we install Ajax
Ajax is the alarm system we install in every new system. Each sensor talks to the hub by encrypted radio. The hub sends alarms to our monitoring station over the internet. The Ajax Hub 2 Plus can also send alarms over two cellular SIM cards.
Every device reports its battery, signal and tamper state to the hub. If someone takes a sensor off the wall, the system knows.
You get the Ajax app on your phone. Each person in your home or business gets their own login and code.
What we install
Door and window sensors
Tell the system when a door or window opens.
Motion sensors with cameras
When one trips, it takes a series of photos. You see the photos in the app on your phone.
Glass break sensors
Hear the sound of breaking glass, before anyone gets in.
Keypads and key fobs
Arm and disarm at the door, or from your key ring. Each person can have their own code.
Sirens
Indoor and outdoor sirens. An outdoor siren with a light shows neighbours where the alarm is.
Smoke, heat and CO detectors
Wireless detectors that sound together and go to the station.
See detectorsWater leak detectors
Under sinks, water heaters and washing machines. They alert your phone when they get wet.
Panic buttons
A small button by the bed or under a counter sends an alarm to the station.

What happens when your alarm goes off
A camera records a break in. Monitoring makes sure a person acts on it, at any hour of the night.
A sensor trips
A door opens or a motion sensor sees movement while the system is armed.
The station gets it
The alarm goes to our ULC listed partner station over WiFi. On the Cellular Plan, it also goes over the cell network.
An operator calls you
A real person follows your call list. They call you first, then your other contacts.
Help is sent
The operator asks police or fire to attend, under your local bylaw rules.
ULC listed means the monitoring station meets the Underwriters Laboratories of Canada standard for alarm monitoring.
Why wireless
Clean install
No wires to run through finished walls or ceilings.
Power outages
The sensors run on their own batteries. The Ajax Hub 2 Plus runs up to 15 hours on its backup battery when it uses the cell network. On the WiFi Plan, your router also needs power.
Internet outages
On the Cellular Plan, the hub sends alarms over the cell network when the internet is down.
Room to grow
Add sensors, cameras or detectors later. One Ajax Hub 2 Plus runs up to 200 devices.
Monitoring plans
Two plans, both month to month. Most customers choose the WiFi Plan. Choose the Cellular Plan for a cabin, dock, island or rural property.

Questions about alarm systems
Do the sensors need batteries?
Yes. Most Ajax sensors run for years on one set of batteries. The app warns you before a battery runs low.
What happens if the power goes out?
The sensors run on batteries, and the hub has a backup battery. The Ajax Hub 2 Plus runs up to 15 hours on it when it uses the cell network. On the WiFi Plan, your router also needs power to send alarms.
Can I arm the doors and windows at night and still walk around?
Yes. Night mode arms the sensors you choose, such as the doors and windows, and leaves the motion sensors off.
What if I set off the alarm by mistake?
Disarm it with the app, a fob or the keypad. If the station calls you, give your verbal password. Your verbal password is not your alarm code.
Can you take over the alarm I already have?
Often, yes. We check your system for free. See switching to EcoSecurity.
